This Lions year is about to be over and it has been a year of many changes, both in D40 and at International, we are all striving to operate in this new digital world. Yup, be sure we are all struggling with technology, however it is not going away so our best option is to learn as best we can. Trying to avoid it and wish for the older ways is not helping anybody.

The May issue of 'Albuquerque The Magazine' featured "Incredible Kids," a column about our 2025-26 Peace Poster Merit Award winner Haven Cook, along with a photo of her holding the poster. Also in May, a picture of the poster and an explanation of it was posted in the East Mountain Library, giving our Lions Club project even more publicity. As we prepare to enter the final month of our fiscal year, we have an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved and commit to finishing strong. Through LCIF, Lions and Leos are creating change that will be felt for generations.

D40 LCIF END of YEAR REPORT July 2025 - June 2026

A conversation exploring how movement, music, energy and celebration can transform meetings, conventions and service into engaging experiences, boosting member connection, retention and the overall joy of being a Lion.

Tell-A-Thon is a global storytelling event where Lions, Leos, families, friends and neighbors come together to hear real stories about why service matters. It’s also an LCIF fundraiser that helps fund even more service in communities around the world.

We kindly request your assistance in strengthening our impact through a club donation to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) by June 15, 2026. Club donations unify our giving, so LCIF can fund programs that improve health, strengthen communities, and support those in need. Let's make District 40 stand out. Imagine every club in our district donating to LCIF, no matter the size of the donation.

What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Carlsbad for the 98th Annual NM/AZ Lions State Convention. From the fellowship to the service, it was a resounding success! 🦁 It was a privilege to host such a dedicated group, and it’s fair to say a wonderful time was had by all!

On March 8, join us for sheLeads: A Global Call to Unite — a global virtual symposium created to elevate women in leadership, amplify voices and turn celebration into meaningful momentum.

As LCIF Coordinator for District 40, I ask for your club’s support in advancing the Lions Clubs International Foundation mission of empowering volunteers and serving communities. Currently, 19 out of 46 New Mexico clubs have contributed to LCIF; our goal is to increase participation by June 2026. A suggested donation of $20 per member will help us reach more people and work toward a 50% club donation goal.
