Farmington Evening Lions Clubs work with Echo Food Bank every month. This is a regular project that aids our Community with their Hunger needs.

Members of the Farmington Evening Lions Club joined with Lion Shelly Diede of the Children’s Hope Foundation at Farmington’s Riverfest on May 24, 2026. This is the foundation’s annual fundraiser, raffling off a brand-new car. The car was donated by Melloy Honda in Farmington as part of their annual donation to help children with Cancer, and their families, to be able to travel for specialized healthcare needs.

This year, Lions and Leos around the world have made a meaningful difference. Through your leadership and service, compassion and kindness, needs have been met, lives have been touched and communities strengthened. As the Lion year comes to a close, that impact continues. MISSION 1.5 reminds us there is more to do, and by growing our membership, we expand our service and extend our reach into the future.

This Lions year is about to be over and it has been a year of many changes, both in D40 and at International, we are all striving to operate in this new digital world. Yup, be sure we are all struggling with technology, however it is not going away so our best option is to learn as best we can. Trying to avoid it and wish for the older ways is not helping anybody.

D40 LCIF END of YEAR REPORT July 2025 - June 2026

A conversation exploring how movement, music, energy and celebration can transform meetings, conventions and service into engaging experiences, boosting member connection, retention and the overall joy of being a Lion.

Tell-A-Thon is a global storytelling event where Lions, Leos, families, friends and neighbors come together to hear real stories about why service matters. It’s also an LCIF fundraiser that helps fund even more service in communities around the world.

Edgewood Lions Club will host its 3rd Annual Senior Health Fair on Friday, June 12th at the Edgewood Senior Center from 9 am - 1 pm. The Edgewood Lions will be doing Vision Screening and offering free eyeglasses for those qualified, collecting used eyeglasses, and the NM Diabetes Awareness Program will be there to do Diabetes screening. Thank you to everyone who supported the LCIF Melvin Jones Birthday Campaign and championed the effort to bring new donors to our global foundation. Your support helped us achieve our US$2 million goal and increased awareness of the powerful role LCIF plays in strengthening our service.

La Mesa Club helped out Peace Lutheran Church in Las Cruces for a food distribution of food for their community. Lions have big hearts to help anywhere.

From the very beginning, Lions have welcomed everyone with a heart to serve — and that spirit shines especially bright when we engage younger generations. Young people bring fresh ideas, new energy and a passion for service that help keep our organization strong, relevant and growing.
