Travel Voluntourism
Lion Sam Pirelli and Lion Bill McCommack of the Ruidoso Evening Lions have been doing some travel voluntourism. They attended the 63rd annual High Rolls/Mountain Park - Summer Cherry Festival. They have also attended several of the Alamogordo Evening Lions Gun shows to give them a helping hand as well.


Ruidoso Evening Lions Gun Shows
The Ruidoso Evening Lions Club held its Memorial Day and Independence Day Gun Shows. We host a Kids' Scavenger Hunt at each gun show. When children find all of the hidden Lions and have their card stamped by each participating vendor, they are entered for a chance to win a Daisy BB gun and BBs. Our Gun Shows and Gun Raffles are among our largest and longest-running fundraisers. They allow us to help members of our community by providing eye exams and glasses, scholarships, an


Ruidoso Evening Lions Club Celebration
Tuesday, June 9, we had a celebration! In honor of Lions International's 109th birthday, we celebrated the legacy of Lion Roy Dow of Carrizozo, New Mexico. Lion Roy was a dedicated Lion and business owner in Carrizozo for many years. His niece, Connie, presented us with Roy's Lions vest. We plan to display the vest in a shadow box as part of our own historical Lions exhibit. We also officially inducted Lions Corina and Johnny Amador, who provide food services for many of our


First Officer Training in Moriarty Successful!

LCIF News
As this Lion year comes to a close, we have the opportunity to reflect on all we have accomplished together. I am grateful for my time as chairperson of our foundation and proud of the impact we have made. Your dedication and generosity have expanded our service, reached more people in need and left a lasting mark in communities around the world. I look forward to celebrating our success at the 108th Lions International Convention in Hong Kong and reflecting on the difference

The 3rd Annual Read and Roar Car Show June 13, 2026
The Farmington Evening Lions Club worked with the Farmington Public Library Reading Foundation to put on their third annual car show to benefit our community. It was a blast!!
We had 100 cars along with motorcycles, vendors with everything from food to everything “car,” including insurance agents, customizing supplies, and the most artistic awards that are designed from car parts.


Socorro County Lions Club News
We have had a very busy year! Our club numbers increased from 10, to 15 members. PCC Wesley W. Brown, Jr. visited our club on June 20th and inducted 7 new Members.


Farmington Evening Lions Club Suitcase Scooter Raffle
Farmington Evening Lions Club held a raffle during the Car Show. A Suitcase Scooter was raffled off. We had the pleasure off seeing our Lions ride it around the Car Show and it really drew a lot of attention.


Farmington Evening Lions Club Echo Days
Farmington Evening Lions Clubs work with Echo Food Bank every month. This is a regular project that aids our Community with their Hunger needs.


Farmington Evening Lions Club and Children's Hope Foundation Fundraiser
Members of the Farmington Evening Lions Club joined with Lion Shelly Diede of the Children’s Hope Foundation at Farmington’s Riverfest on May 24, 2026. This is the foundation’s annual fundraiser, raffling off a brand-new car. The car was donated by Melloy Honda in Farmington as part of their annual donation to help children with Cancer, and their families, to be able to travel for specialized healthcare needs.


Farmington Evening Lions Club Garden Project with Presbyterian Children's Services
Farmington Evening Lions Club received an email from Presbyterian Children’s Services (PMS) to any party that would be interested in helping them set up the gardening project. PMS had received a grant to start this project. Farmington Evening expressed an interest and has partnered with Presbyterian Children’s Services (PMS) to begin a garden project to teach the children in their program how to plant and raise a garden. Carlsbad Downtown Lions Year End Party
Lion Boss Johnny Washburn presented Lion of the Year awards to Lion Sherri Chandler and Lion Emma Irizarry. Lion Johnny Washburn received a progressive Melvin Jones award.


Moriarty Lions Pancake Breakfast
Moriarty Lions presents A ROARing Pancake Breakfast and ROARing good time at Bingo for the 250th Anniversary of our Country. Come join us this 4th of July for our Celebration!


Taos Lions Drive for Sight Golf Tournament
Taos Lions will hold its annual Drive for Sight Golf Tournament August 1, 2026 at Taos Country Club Golf Course.


ETHOS LITERACY BURQUE BEE & ALBUQUERQUE LIONS
The Albuquerque Breakfast Lions Club was among 19 volunteers
participating in the annual Burque Bee fundraiser for Ethos Literacy. Ethos Literacy is a nonprofit reading and educational center that empowers adults with literacy, language, and math skills. The Burque Bee-Team Spelling Bee was held on June 5, 2026, at the Canteen Brewhouse in Albuquerque. We were honored to have KOAT News Anchor Shelly Ribando as the host at the event.


Moriarty Lions Club News
250th Anniversary of Independence Day starts with pancake breakfast from 7-11 then the Independence Day Bingo Spectacular begins at 1 o'clock. Please join the fun.


June District Governor Newsletter
This Lions year is about to be over and it has been a year of many changes, both in D40 and at International, we are all striving to operate in this new digital world. Yup, be sure we are all struggling with technology, however it is not going away so our best option is to learn as best we can. Trying to avoid it and wish for the older ways is not helping anybody.
