Fall Into Giving with LCIF

Kindness is at the core of our humanitarian mission. With support from LCIF, Lions and Leos can turn compassion into action and reach more people in moments of need. At the August 2026 LCIF Board of Trustees Meeting, 114 grants totaling more than US$13.6 million were approved to strengthen service worldwide.

Diversity can help clubs grow, strengthen leadership and better reflect the communities they serve. Let’s explore how welcoming different backgrounds, cultures, professions and generations can create stronger member experiences and help Lions build clubs ready for the future.

Offering an inclusive, welcoming club environment, leadership opportunities and opportunities for personal growth helps attract new members and keep all members engaged and enthusiastic.

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) transforms the generosity of Lions, Leos and our supporters into meaningful service and lasting change. Through grants, our global foundation provides resources that enable us to address important needs, expand successful projects and reach more people in communities around the world. LCIF also helps strengthen our association. When people see Lions improving lives through impactful service, they are inspired to get involved.

Being “Rooted in Service” is about more than just the service others see us do. It’s about who we are at our foundation. Our roots in service are strong, and they run deep.

The Lions International Peace Poster Contest has given middle school students ages 11-13 the opportunity to share what peace means to them through art, but also to express how peace would affect their lives, their families, friends and the world! These thoughts were shared by students in a Santa Fe southside lower income area.

The board met earlier this week, and I am pleased to announce that the Lions Clubs International Board of Directors recommends Past International Director Vijay Kumar Raju from Multiple District 316 (India) as international third vice president for election at the 2027 Lions International Convention in Washington D.C., USA.
