Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) transforms the generosity of Lions, Leos and our supporters into meaningful service and lasting change. Through grants, our global foundation provides resources that enable us to address important needs, expand successful projects and reach more people in communities around the world. The Espanola "Back to School" event in June brought several cheerful volunteers together. Santa Fe Capital City Líons had participated for several years with the Espanola Club , but this year, additional screening services and educational material were provided by the New Mexico Lions Diabetes Awareness Program in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Van with help from Santa Fe Prep Leo Sameera! Free glasses applications and instructions with frame selections were also available

A carton of 24 student dictionaries from The Dictionary Project Inc. were delivered to Lion Caroline Hess on July 6, 2026, as requested for use by the Four Corners Regional Training Institute's 70 community members. Led by City of Albuquerque's Albuquerque Volunteers and sponsored by a world-wide Baha'i initiative, the Institute's program includes learning cycles, literacy development, facilitated conversations, community engagement and active reflection with youths 15 years

Have you heard about the Helen Keller 2.0 Challenge? It represents celebrating the next 100 years of Helen Keller who started the "Knights of the Blind." The ABQ NE Lions are in for the challenge, and we will be supporting Backpacks for the Blind. Everyone donates supplies for school children, but people often forget that blind and low-vision kids need supplies too. Our backpacks provide Braille items and vision-impaired supplies for students that will last through their sch

The Clovis Evening Lions have been participating in this much needed fundraiser in our Community for a few years now. Our official name is "ALLEY CATS" and hear me "MEOW". This is such a fun project and makes you feel like you have made a difference at least in a few animals lives. Adopt-A-Pet Society is a non-profit organization that provides food, medicine, medical attention, cat litter, fostering of animals that are in need of a new home and so much more.

Members of the Farmington Evening Lions Club joined with Lion Shelly Diede of the Children’s Hope Foundation at Farmington’s Riverfest on May 24, 2026. This is the foundation’s annual fundraiser, raffling off a brand-new car. The car was donated by Melloy Honda in Farmington as part of their annual donation to help children with Cancer, and their families, to be able to travel for specialized healthcare needs.

The Clovis Evening Lions Club made a donation to the Scouts of America for an upcoming Camp. When it comes to the kids we will help as much as we can.

Lion Brian Geber, Edgewood, and Lion Rita Graham, ABQ Breakfast, dropped off 10,000 pair of donated eyeglasses to Sagebrush Enchanted Hills Eyeglass processing location. Kristen Johnson is their Eye Clinic Director (top right). Requested Lions help a year ago. They were unable to collect donated glasses to meet their ministry needs. They came to Lions and Lions answered!!!

La Mesa Lions Club

Jennifer Halphen (second from the left), President of the Four Corners Stockman’s Association (FCSA) was invited to do a presentation at the Farmington Evening Lions Club meeting to introduce the FCSA and its work to the club. One of the Global Causes for the Lions Clubs is Youth Empowerment bringing the work of FCSA to the forefront.

Farmington Evening Lions Club continues donations to the Children’s Hope Foundation with a second $5,000 donation

Clovis Evening Lions have been helping Bloodline Boxings Events for some time now. The hopes for these children is to do better in school and in our community. They work hard practicing and have to maintain their grades in school in order to continue boxing. We have met a lot of really awesome young men and women that have proven they have the will and the way to do better for our community.

Clovis Evening Lions are always ready to help our kids. We presented a check to Justin (the Boy Scouts Leader) to help the kids go to camp. It always feels good to know that a child will further their future by the things they will learn along the way.
