The Artesia Downtown Lions Club proudly launched a new community service project this summer with the debut of a beautiful American flag display along Main Street in Artesia. After weeks of planning and preparation, the project officially rolled out in time for the community's Fourth of July celebration. Working in partnership with the City of Artesia, Lions installed 138 American flags accompanied by smaller Artesia Downtown Lions Club flags on 10-foot poles.
The Clovis Evening Lions have been participating in this much needed fundraiser
in our Community for a few years now. Our official name is "ALLEY CATS" and hear me "MEOW". This is such a fun project and makes you feel like you have made a difference at least in a few animals lives. Adopt-A-Pet Society is a non-profit organization
that provides food, medicine, medical attention, cat litter, fostering of animals that are in need of a new home and so much more.
