You just need one member and one middle school teacher who might want to get their 11, 12 or 13 year old students to think about peace for themselves and the world and get involved in a project that pulls together creativity and kindness together. But you need to give the teachers time to incorporate this year’s theme “HARMONY IN HUMANITY” into their lesson plans for the coming school year.

The May issue of 'Albuquerque The Magazine' featured "Incredible Kids," a column about our 2025-26 Peace Poster Merit Award winner Haven Cook, along with a photo of her holding the poster. Also in May, a picture of the poster and an explanation of it was posted in the East Mountain Library, giving our Lions Club project even more publicity. Our District is now showing a growth of 27 members giving us a 3.2% increase. There is still time to meet our District targets and finish out the year on a strong note.
