NEW MEXICO LIONS DISTRICT 40
WE SERVE NEW MEXICO, WINDOW ROCK and FORT DEFIANCE
Lions and Leo’s of District 40
February 2026
Greetings to all.
Congratulations to all Lions who performed Service during the Service week of Hunger, there were so many great ideas on how to Serve. It is always amazing to see how D40 Lions perform when presented with new challenges.
REMINDER, 3rd Cabinet meeting will be at the Clubhouse in Moriarty on March 7th. 515 Lions Court, Moriarty. There will be a Service project and Zoom link and lots of time for fellowship. See flier elsewhere in this Roar.
Second reminder; if you are intending in running for election for any “elected” position at the District Convention in May, it is time to start putting your campaign together and submitting all necessary paperwork. Be on the lookout for the Official Call up coming soon.
Clubs are doing a great job on keeping their communities with many great projects and are constantly trying new ideas and initiatives. There are many tools available at International and other Lions platforms to assist with these initiatives.
Lions USA home page is great, look on the top banner, buttons like Calander and Resources. Calander has listings of all the Zooms and workshops being offered across the country and most of these are open to every Lion to partake in as they can. A great way to connect with Lions from all over the country and share experiences and ideas.
We are continuing with Club visits and if any Club is having a special event, please feel free to reach out and we will work to arrange a District representative to attend where possible.
Again our District membership is growing, todays total membership (Jan 26) is 933 members. Keep up the great work everybody. Each new member brings to our Clubs hope, fresh ideas, new hands with energy and continuity. Please give them a seat at the table and hear what they have to offer.
Final Reminder: New LI and District bills have now been issued.
To access the LI bill have your Club treasurer log onto the Portal and click on the statements button. On the home page are payment options.
District dues: Invoices have been sent to all Listed Club treasurers, if you have local Club arrangements then you need to check with your treasurer for the invoice.
Timely payment of dues means we can continue to operate our International and Districts and can focus on projects and initiatives not spend our time chasing down unpaid dues.
Thank you to all Lions who have visited during the Zoom Visit with the DG.
We continue to learn from your ideas and will continue to make this a more productive time.
The link for the February Zoom is posted elsewhere in this Roar.
Thank you all for everything that ye do in your Communities and for making D40 such a great Lions District.
DG Frankie
