International President's Speech

Dear Lions,

Service to others defines who we are. It is the very reason we exist as a global organization. A Lions club brings people together. When people work together, amazing things happen. Friendships form, leaders arise and communities change for the better. But it all comes down to one thing — service. Our sole purpose as Lions is, and always has been, to serve those in need.

With “We Serve” as our motto, we will focus on bringing kindness to our communities and our world. This is a call for Lions to show our world that change is possible, and that we are working every day to be the change that our communities

and our world need.

We know that we will need to work together to lead our communities, strengthen our

clubs and achieve our MISSION 1.5 goal of reaching 1.5 million members by July 1,

2027 so we can serve more people than ever before. Together we have an opportunity

to take the lead on service and guide the way toward a brighter future.

I have always believed that at the heart of our service you’ll find kindness,

commitment and generosity for the many people we serve — and for the incredibly

diverse family of Leos and Lions with whom we serve. Together, we will make our

communities and our world a better place for all people.
