Dear Fellow Lions,
As we move forward into the year, I encourage every Lion to embrace opportunities for leadership development, to mentor or to be mentored, and to invite others to join our mission. Together, united in service and purpose, we will continue to grow stronger and make a better District. Lions, please check out the LionsUSA.org website it has many different programs in developing your skills in growth, recruiting or personal development. Sign up for the webinars, if you cannot attend at least you will be on the mailing list to receive the recorded events. Then they will send all the materials to you, to review at your own pace and share with your clubs.
The IGNITE program is for Lions and Leos interested in going to a RLLI or ELLI to prep for becoming our future leaders. These are in different locations across the country. At the moment, we do not have any from our neighboring state Colorado. But stay tuned, they might have one later in the year.
LET’S GROW - A Growth Workshop series (join up at any time)
I have attended two sessions so far, they have been amazing with PIP Brian Sheehan, what a great motivator and inspiration he is. Growth is a lifelong journey, every challenge presents an opportunity to grow—personally, professionally, and as a servant leader. Lions continue your efforts to lead with heart, purpose, and service.
As your GLT, I am inspired by the dedication you bring to your clubs and communities every day. Your service, and membership growth ensures our future for New Mexico. By appointing new officers, welcoming new members, and strengthening our clubs, we expand our ability to serve and increase our impact. Growth is not just about numbers—it is about empowering people and building unity around a shared mission. Unity is the foundation of impactful service. When Lions and Clubs come together with a shared purpose, our collective strength multiplies. Together, we can accomplish far more than any one person alone. Whereas, Helen Keller stated. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”.
Thank you for your commitment to Lionism. Together, through leadership, growth, and unity, District 40 will continue to make a meaningful difference.
In service,
GLT-PCC Annie Miller
