Los Leones de Mesilla News

We had the pleasure of hosting Lion 1VDG Joel Edwards on December 2nd meeting.

He gave an informative speech on recruitment and retention of new members. He presented Chevron Letters to many Lion members from the following clubs: La Mesa, Las Cruces de Noche, Las Cruces Noon, and Las Cruces Sunrise. Lion Hector Giron (Anthony Lions Club) was recognized for hosting a Community Feast dinner on November 23rd that fed over 850 people! This club may be small in number but they have the biggest hearts when it comes to helping others in their community. Thank you 1VDG Joel for your visit to our club!

Los Leones de Mesilla are getting ready to assemble 271 candy and fruit bags to distribute to Mesilla Elementary students on Thursday, December 18th.  Santa (Lion PCC Dutch) is brought to the school by fire truck!  Burrell College Student Coordinator, Hollie Gildar, has gathered lots of candies to help us this year.
