Farmington Evening Lions Club welcomed District Governor Frankie Davis to our meeting on April 20, 2026. Also welcomed were the members of the Aztec Lions Club. It was a packed room and it was great to have everyone in attendance.


Farmington Evening Lions Club Donates to the Four Corners Stockman’s Association
Jennifer Halphen (second from the left), President of the Four Corners Stockman’s Association (FCSA) was invited to do a presentation at the Farmington Evening Lions Club meeting to introduce the FCSA and its work to the club. One of the Global Causes for the Lions Clubs is Youth Empowerment bringing the work of FCSA to the forefront.


Farmington Evening Lions Club – Eyeglass Counting on April 18, 2026
Our community is very generous to donate their used eyeglasses. This is the second
counting we have done this year alone. We counted 1387 prescription glasses and 292 Readers and Sunglasses and have cases for almost all of the prescription glasses. Our club had 10 Club members who came out to support us and/or count glasses.

Tell-A-Thon is a global storytelling event where Lions, Leos, families, friends and neighbors come together to hear real stories about why service matters. It’s also an LCIF fundraiser that helps fund even more service in communities around the world.


Artesia Downtown Lions Present 13 Scholarships
The Artesia Downtown Lions were proud to present 13 scholarships, totaling $6,000 to deserving Junior Lions at Artesia High School. Recipients were Javier Rodriguez, Hayli Greenwood, Iliana Luna, Alison Green, Samantha Govea, Kirklyn Miller, Evelyn Gamon-Esparza, Jaslyn Granado, Felicity Padilla, Emily Soto, Cutter Summers and Sarah Plotner.
Recipient of the “Milt Houston Memorial Scholarship” was Amanda Murphy.
