On Monday night, May 18th, the Farmington Evening Lions Club presented a check for $1,000 to the ARC of San Juan County.  One of our Global Causes is Humanitarian Efforts.  The ARC supports this cause by supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  ARC also has individuals with disabilities working in their store.

They also have the ARC Academy to assist individuals to gain more confidence in several different types of classes.  Some of the classes are cooking, healthy relationships, personal care and hygiene, business and the interview process, just to name a few.  They also have an Art project to help adults to learn painting.

FELC supports these types of programs to help educate and support the needs of the disabled in San Juan County and across New Mexico.
