Jennifer Halphen (second from the left), President of the Four Corners Stockman’s Association (FCSA) was invited to do a presentation at the Farmington Evening Lions Club meeting to introduce the FCSA and its work to the club.  One of the Global Causes for the Lions Clubs is Youth Empowerment bringing the work of FCSA to the forefront.

FCSA helps provide financial and educational opportunities; they work with Youth with Disabilities and Special Needs; they work with Suicide Awareness, focusing on prevention and mental health services for young farmers and ranchers; and they help with Scholarships for graduating High School Seniors who are pursuing a career in agriculture-related fields. Jennifer also told us that there are many more programs to help the youth in 4-H and FFA, as well as other AG related projects.  Their work is not limited to what is listed here.

Jennifer also told us about the Unlimited Livestock Show at the County Fair each year that represents work with Special Needs and the Disabled Youth of the area.  The participants get to show pigs at this event.  It gives them the opportunity to learn values, skills and to help the traditions of agriculture to thrive for generations to come.

Farmington Evening Lions Club feels that their work is a worthwhile cause, following our Global Cause for Youth Empowerment.  We were happy to donate to them in the amount of $500. A check was presented to Jennifer Halphen, FCSA President at the Lions Club meeting on Monday, April 20th 2026.
