A.P. Singh

International President

Dear Lion Leaders,

It is my honor to serve as your International President for the 2025–2026 Lion year. Together, we continue building bridges for global understanding and serving our communities. After all, each of us became a Lion because someone invited us—this is how our service grows, our legacy expands, and why Lions around the world are committing to increasing clubs and service through MISSION 1.5.

My presidential theme this year is “Lead to Serve, Serve to Lead.” Service will always be our priority, but it is through shared vision and commitment that we leave the world better than we found it.

Important Updates to International Awards

Lions Clubs International has announced important updates to the criteria for two of its highest recognitions—the International Presidential Award (IPA) and the International Leadership Award (ILA)—effective for the 2025–2026 Lion year:

  • The eligibility “lookback” period for receiving an IPA or ILA is now five years.

  • Lions cannot nominate themselves for these awards.

  • Recipients of the Ambassador of Good Will award are no longer eligible for future IPAs or ILAs, preserving the distinction of this highest honor.

  • “Upscaling” of recognition is permitted, allowing a Lion to be considered for the next highest honor if not previously received.

  • Certain Lions in international leadership and administrative roles are exempt from these changes.

All recommendation forms must be endorsed and submitted by Friday, February 13, 2026.

I am grateful to serve alongside you and thank you for your leadership and dedication to our mission. Together we serve.

A.P. Singh

International President
