Applications Open for 2025 LITPC Scholarships

The Lions International Trading Pin Club (LITPC) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025–2026 LITPC Youth Scholarship Program.


This year, eight scholarships of $4,000 each will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of Lions members or active members of a Leo Club.

These scholarships are designed to support students who embody the spirit of Lionism—service, leadership, and community involvement—as they pursue higher education.

“We want to ensure every eligible student has the chance to apply,” said IPDG Mary Ellen Sherer, LITPC 1st Year Director. “Please help spread the word through your District and Multiple District newsletters.”

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be graduating seniors who have been accepted to an accredited college or institution of higher learning.

  • The applicant must be a child or grandchild of a Lion or a current Leo Club member.

  • All applications must be processed through a Lions Pin Trading Club or State/Area Scholarship Committee before being submitted to LITPC.


Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. Completed application form (available on the LITPC website)

  2. Certified high school transcript, including GPA, class rank, and list of activities

  3. Personal essay (350 words or less) introducing yourself, your goals, and reasons for applying

  4. Essay on community service involvement (350 words or less)

  5. Essay describing financial need or special family circumstances (350 words or less)

  6. Essay listing awards, achievements, and activities (350 words or less)

  7. Two letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, clergy, or employers

  8. One letter of recommendation from a Lions Club member, including the name of their club and its location

  9. Letter of acceptance from the college or institution (if available)


Deadlines

  • March 1, 2026 – Deadline to submit completed applications to your local pin trading club or scholarship committee.

Scholarship Award

Each selected student will receive a $4,000 scholarship (USD), payable after the completion of their first semester of college. The scholarship may be used only for tuition, fees, and books.
