Apply for a Leadership Development Institute Grant

Multiple and single districts (not part of a multiple district) – develop leadership skills within your area by hosting an Emerging Lions Leadership Institute (ELLI), Regional Lions Leadership Institute (RLLI) or Faculty Development Institute (FDI). Apply for the Leadership Development Institute Grant by October 15, 2026. LEARN MORE

Reminder: Club Suspension Policy

Please review the amendment to the club suspension policy that is posted online, with an update to the club suspension policy. The 120-day suspension rule is now reduced to 90 days. Automatic cancellation will be scheduled the second month following suspension. LEARN MORE

Apply for District Officer Training Funding Before the Deadline

The Leadership Development Multiple District and District Grant Programs provide funds to cover some expenses related to development training within your multiple district (first and second vice district governors) and your district (zone chairpersons). Applications are due September 30, 2026. APPLY NOW

Updates to District Governor Expense Claim Reimbursement Process

Remember, there is a new Expense Claim Reimbursement process for district governors, which was launched this fiscal year (2026/2027). New DGs are now able to submit claims online. It’s getting rave reviews so far! The process is simple and easy, communications and updates are accessible in the Lion portal, and reimbursement is much faster. LEARN MORE

Support the Success of Your District GLT

Multiple district Global Leadership Team (GLT) coordinators, support your districts in the achievement of district leadership development goals. Confirm your district GLT coordinators report completed zone chairperson and club officer trainings in Learn. LOG IN

New Disaster Relief Chairperson Position this Lion Year!

New for 2026-2027, the disaster relief chairperson’s role will strengthen preparedness, coordinate response efforts and expand Lions’ disaster relief impact. They will serve at the district and multiple district levels, and district governors and council chairpersons appoint them. LEARN MORE

Ensure District Leadership Development Goal Success

District Global Leadership Team (GLT) coordinators, set your district up to achieve the district’s 2026-2027 leadership development goal. Confirm your district’s leadership development targets and report completed club officer and zone chairperson trainings in Learn by September 30, 2026. LOG IN

FVDG/DGE Learning Starts This Month

Training begins September 11, 2026, with the launch of the 2026-2027 FVDG/DGE Learning Path in the Lions Learning Center. These online courses help FVDGs prepare for their leadership roles. View the list of courses on the FVDG/DGE Program Overview. VIEW MATERIALS

Report Your Leo District or MD Officers

Be sure your new Leo district and multiple district officers have access to all the support they need by reporting them in the Lion Portal. If you are unable to report online, submit the Leo Districts and Multiple Districts Annual Report to Lions International as soon as possible. GET STARTED
