A carton of 24 student dictionaries from The Dictionary Project Inc. were delivered to Lion Caroline Hess on July 6, 2026, as requested for use by the Four Corners Regional Training Institute's 70 community members.  Led by City of Albuquerque's Albuquerque Volunteers and sponsored by a world-wide Baha'i initiative, the Institute's program includes learning cycles, literacy development, facilitated conversations, community engagement and active reflection with youths 15 years and older in a mentorship program with their younger peers age 12 to 15. "The community is grateful for the donation of the dictionaries by the Sandia Mountain Lions Club."  The books were ordered by PCC Bob Jones and financed by Lions Jim and Effie Medford. Lion Caroline has been a long-time volunteer with the Institute, and says the dictionaries "will greatly enhance the literacy component."
