Jennifer Halphen (second from the left), President of the Four Corners Stockman’s Association (FCSA) was invited to do a presentation at the Farmington Evening Lions Club meeting to introduce the FCSA and its work to the club. One of the Global Causes for the Lions Clubs is Youth Empowerment bringing the work of FCSA to the forefront.

Our community is very generous to donate their used eyeglasses. This is the second counting we have done this year alone. We counted 1387 prescription glasses and 292 Readers and Sunglasses and have cases for almost all of the prescription glasses. Our club had 10 Club members who came out to support us and/or count glasses.

Farmington Evening Lions Club continues donations to the Children’s Hope Foundation with a second $5,000 donation

On May 13, 2026, Trudi Lynn, VIST Coordinator at the New Mexico VA Hospital, invited Lions members to serve the Visual Impaired Veterans at their annual spring BBQ. Lions’ members from Albuquerque Breakfast and Edgewood Clubs reported from 10 am to 2 pm, ready to work.

The Ruidoso Evening Lions helped the Ruidoso Warrior Special Olympians to raise $4,000.00 at their Spaghetti dinner. International Director Lion Melissa Washburn visited Ruidoso, along with her husband Librarian Johnny Washburn & her partner in service Lion Gemma Ferguson to induct new members and officers. She also presented a very special Melvin Jones replacement plaque to Lion Sam Pirelli. Sam lost his home in the devastating floods last year. We inducted four new members

As we prepare to enter the final month of our fiscal year, we have an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved and commit to finishing strong. Through LCIF, Lions and Leos are creating change that will be felt for generations.

The New Mexico Lions Eye Foundation Officers and Trustees can’t thank Lions enough for their support through the second half of this year. We didn’t sell all of our Raffle tickets but generous Club donations helped to make up the difference. There aren’t sufficient words to express our gratitude to all the Lions who participated.

Recently our club members (Carlsbad Community Lions Club), along with some help from the Carlsbad Downtown Lions Club members participated in The Hand Project - assembling prosthetic hand kits that will help restore independence, confidence, and opportunity for individuals around the world.

It was a tough job, but in true Lions fashion, Socorro County Lions Club met it head one. They are a pretty new club with a zest to Serve. On May 16th, with 7 members joining together, they tackled a pretty tough project, with a smile! They cleaned, painted and did what was needed of them in 29 hours of Service. Lion Club President Moneic said that the group they worked with “builds tiny homes and always need help.” They hope to do it again. Great job, Socorro County Lion

D40 LCIF END of YEAR REPORT July 2025 - June 2026

Clovis Evening Lions have been helping Bloodline Boxings Events for some time now. The hopes for these children is to do better in school and in our community. They work hard practicing and have to maintain their grades in school in order to continue boxing. We have met a lot of really awesome young men and women that have proven they have the will and the way to do better for our community.

Clovis Evening Lions are always ready to help our kids. We presented a check to Justin (the Boy Scouts Leader) to help the kids go to camp. It always feels good to know that a child will further their future by the things they will learn along the way.

A conversation exploring how movement, music, energy and celebration can transform meetings, conventions and service into engaging experiences, boosting member connection, retention and the overall joy of being a Lion.

Tell-A-Thon is a global storytelling event where Lions, Leos, families, friends and neighbors come together to hear real stories about why service matters. It’s also an LCIF fundraiser that helps fund even more service in communities around the world.

We kindly request your assistance in strengthening our impact through a club donation to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) by June 15, 2026. Club donations unify our giving, so LCIF can fund programs that improve health, strengthen communities, and support those in need. Let's make District 40 stand out. Artesia Downtown Lions partnered with Artesia Main Street for our environmental project today by planting a tree. A big thank you to the City of Artesia for handling the planting. Artesia Downtown Lions putting out flags in honor of Memorial Day!

Clovis Evening Lions Club has been delivering flowers for Strickland Floral & Gifts for several years now. We always love seeing the smiles and surprise on the ladies faces.

What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Carlsbad for the 98th Annual NM/AZ Lions State Convention. From the fellowship to the service, it was a resounding success! 🦁 It was a privilege to host such a dedicated group, and it’s fair to say a wonderful time was had by all!
