LCIF Mission and Purpose

To empower Lions clubs, volunteers, and partners to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian services and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.

D40 LCIF END of YEAR REPORT

July 2025 - June 2026

As LCIF Coordinator, I sincerely thank all members for your generosity and continued support. Every gift helps our district advance LCIF’s goals and make a meaningful impact in our communities and around the world.

In the following sections, you’ll find important updates, requests and news. Each of these topics plays a crucial role in advancing our mission and furthering our ability to give hope and positively impact lives through humanitarian service.

LCIF Club Donations Needed - Please help strengthen our impact by donating to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) by June 15, 2026 (this deadline will allow your contributions to be processed in time before the LCIF fiscal year ends). Let's make District 40 shine—every club's contribution, big or small, matters.

LCIF Total Raised by District 40 - Through the generosity of our clubs and members, District 40 has contributed a total of 68,406 for LCIF, helping support humanitarian service and grants that impact communities locally and around the world.

Make a Difference Through Recurring Giving - Whether you start a new recurring gift or increase your current commitment, your generosity will make a lasting impact. Your continued support is deeply appreciated. LCIF will recognize your dedication with milestone pins. These pins are awarded based on your participation duration in the program, not the donation amount.

Appoint Your Club LCIF Coordinator - Please appoint a club LCIF coordinator each year. This vital role connects your club to Lions Clubs International Foundation and enhances your club’s ability to make a difference both locally and globally.

If your club hasn’t chosen a coordinator, please ask your immediate past president to help by serving in this role. I truly need your support to help D40 meet LCIF goals next year.

D40 State Convention Report (May 1- 3) - We successfully raised $500 to support important local and international initiatives. The PowerPoint presentation emphasizes the need for clubs to assess their risk vulnerabilities, including wildfires, floods, and crisis events. I look forward to seeing you next year at the D40 State Convention in Albuquerque, April 30 – May 2.

Celebrating LCIF Donors - It was a privilege to meet Lion Mary Jean Reese of Eunice, NM. Her commitment to service is evident in her decision to join the Recurring Program in support of the LCIF mission. Lions like Mary Jean—dedicated, generous, and steadfast—play an essential role in strengthening our collective impact.

To recognize and honor the contributions of individuals like Mary Jean, I will continue to highlight an LCIF donor through email, Facebook, and the ROAR. By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire others to support our vital work and to celebrate the remarkable dedication within our community.

Acknowledgments - I would also like to acknowledge PCC Annie Miller, who continues to provide invaluable mentorship, support, and guidance. Her dedication has greatly enhanced my understanding of my responsibilities as a District LCIF coordinator.

District Community Grants (DCG) - Challenge your club to turn generosity into local impact by taking advantage of District and Club Community Impact Grants (DCG) through LCIF. These grants give clubs and districts an opportunity to use qualifying contributions to the Empowering Service Fund to support humanitarian projects in their own communities. Upcoming LCIF Strategic Meeting in August -Last year, I was nominated and appointed by LCIF to participate in the strategic meeting held in Atlanta. This August, I will once again attend a meeting for LCIF district coordinators and represent District 40 within Constitutional Area I (which includes the U.S., its affiliates, Bermuda, and the Bahamas). The LCIF strategic meeting is to help district leaders plan and coordinate how they will support LCIF throughout the year.  I am dedicated to ongoing learning, education, and the promotion of LCIF initiatives throughout my three-year term.

Stories of Pride (lcifpride.org - Check out lcifpride.org to see how LCIF support transforms lives—through inspiring videos, photos, and stories from Lions and Leos around the world. Learn more about the incredible impact of our grants and service!

Roaring Hearts Program - I extend an invitation to all members to share their inquiries, suggestions, and creative fundraising concepts for LCIF. Whether you have insights on potential new initiatives, strategies for engaging fellow Lions, or feedback regarding our current fundraising efforts, please submit your comments. Collectively, we can elevate the success and significance of our fundraising initiatives.
