Lions and LEO’s of District 40 June 2026
Oh wow, what a great Convention we just had, lots of participation from everybody.
It was so wonderful to see so many first timers and new Lions, it reinforces belief in everything we do when we almost have more first timers than our steady regulars.
Deepest appreciation and thanks to everybody who worked to make this Convention the success it was. With that being said, we must continue to make our District the most healthy it can be. This involves everybody, not just District officers but every Club officer and member getting onto the Portal, considering making donations to LCIF, talking to potential new members to learn their passions, looking for new ways to serve in your communities and new fundraising opportunities. While fundraising is important it should not be the forefront of what we do, we need to be seen again for our Service. AAND always remember to publicize the pictures.
This Lions year is about to be over and it has been a year of many changes, both in D40 and at International, we are all striving to operate in this new digital world. Yup, be sure we are all struggling with technology, however it is not going away so our best option is to learn as best we can. Trying to avoid it and wish for the older ways is not helping anybody.
Please remember there will be a new Cabinet starting in July and if any of them ask you to participate on their various committees, please say yes. Everybody is working to make D40 the best Lions District in the world.
We have partnered in a couple of International initiatives this year and it is always a pleasure to represent D40 on the world stage. Personally, I partook in GSW India in February, we have members travelling to Honduras on the “Water by Women” program and a Club in Carlsbad took part in “The Hand” project, these are programs outside our normal service projects and it is so fulfilling to partake with other Lions from all over the world. It brings the International of Lions home.
Yours in Service
DG Frankie
